About PLC Sim Lab

PLC Sim Lab is a free, browser-based simulator for learning industrial automation: PLC wiring, ladder logic, sensors, motor starters and machines, without needing real hardware.

Why it exists

Learning PLCs usually means expensive trainer kits, licensed software and access to a lab. Many students and technicians never get enough hands-on practice. PLC Sim Lab gives everyone a safe place to wire a panel, write a program, press RUN and see what happens, and to make mistakes that trip a simulated breaker instead of damaging equipment.

What you can do here

• Sorting line simulator: a working conveyor line with proximity sensors, photo-eyes, a diverter and live ladder logic, plus fault injection.
• Sensor lab: test inductive, capacitive, photoelectric and ultrasonic sensors on their own benches.
• Playground: place real panel parts, wire them terminal by terminal, and program the PLC in ladder logic in the style of Siemens, Mitsubishi, Allen-Bradley or TOYOPUC.
• Reference: field equipment, PNP / NPN wiring and the PLC scan cycle, explained in plain language.

Students, apprentices, maintenance technicians and engineers who want to practise, and teachers who want a free tool to demonstrate automation in class.

A learning tool, not a safety reference

The simulator is simplified for teaching. Real electrical and machine-safety work must follow local regulations and the manufacturers' documentation, and be carried out by qualified people.
